This is the youtube-channel of Marcel de Heer, psychologist (Amsterdam). All my movies concern dynamic visual (optical) illusions. No screamers. Our visual world outside us, has to get into our brain. To get it into our head, a lot of subconsious work has to be done and quick. Otherwise we can't see. Interpretations, assumptions and decisions have to be made. Doing this, sometimes the brain makes those beautiful mistakes which we see as visual illusions. These mistakes learn us how our mind functionally works (perception, cognition). Sometimes it also learns us about the relation between the functions of the mind and the technical implementation of it, the brain. The relation between the functional mind and the technical implementation of it, is normally called visual neuroscience. If you like visual illusions too, don't hasitate to subscribe.
